RadMetric is an online photon shielding calculator. Examine gamma-ray and X-ray attenuation in custom elemental, compound, and composite shielding materials. Enter material fractions, density, thickness, and photon energies to retrieve NIST XCOM mass attenuation coefficients and calculate primary-photon transmission.

Self-service calculations use an idealized narrow-beam model (B = 1). Results exclude scattered-photon buildup and do not represent full isotropic transport or H*(10). Complex geometry and Monte Carlo analyses are available by consultation.
